Share a moment with the Cat!

She strolled out and promptly lay down with feline grace onto the sun warmed Hotel Balcon’s beautiful terrace which overlooked the Mediterranean from high up in the foothills of the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama Natural Park.

I took a moment with her, as I have done on many past occasions.

She loved lying in the sun, all the annoyances had now gone, the brats, the little yappy dogs, those ridiculous aspects of human life that make a cat’s life less than the serene experience that it should of course inhabit.

Ah, yes, feel those smooth warm brown, terracotta tiles under that fur, percolating up through the soft paw pads.

Catch that lovely slight silken African breath of air lightly ruffling your fur, making those laid back relaxed ears, softly twitch.

Let’s just smoothly roll over and have a stretch out in this lovely winter sun,

Aaahhhh! that’s just perfect.

Ok!

As I am now “Briefly!” of course! Acquiescing, you may now go ahead and rub my belly… aahhhh it just gets better and better…

Cool jazz playing on the hotel speakers gently massaging our ears, mine old and large, hers soft and beautiful…

Oh ! That’s it just there…a little scratch with those peculiar skinny clawless paws you have.

Aaaahhhhh That’s!… the spot.

I will give you 5 mins to stop that…

Right that’s it! I have cat business to attend to… you wouldn’t understand of course, mere human!

Abruptly we are parted.

Yes, man, I have things to do!

She departed on her “business “ and I was rejected back into my seat on the terrace.

Oh well it was nice while it lasted…

As she sauntered away, with not even a backward glance.
